This course program explains drilling technical terms including well control procedures and technique. The purpose of the core curriculum is to identify a body of knowledge and a set of job skills, which can be used to provide well control skills for drilling operations. |

Scope & Benefits |

Upon completion of a introductory well control course based on curriculum guidelines, the student will able to understand job skills, identify well bore problems ,causes of kicks, well killing methods and function of well control equipments. Moreover; moving of drilling rigs and equipment from site to site & set up in the new site. After getting this training in OGS (Pvt) Limited; a young man with at least metric education can enjoy good salary (up to PKR: 50,000~90,000) with other free incentives like messing ,medical, insurance, accommodation, free air ticket, bonus, etc in Pakistan and abroad as well. |

Oil rig electrician nature of work An oil rig electrician install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, test and commission electrical and electronic equipment and systems on oil rigs. The rig electrician may also work on electrical transmission and distribution equipment. Rig electricians are employed by maintenance departments of drilling and well servicing contractors and by petroleum producing companies. The oil rig electrician must follow the Electric Code. Progression to supervisory positions is possible with experience. Oil rig electrician duties and tasks A rig electrician may perform the following tasks and duties: • Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records • Maintain, repair, test, troubleshoot, install and connect to power supplies appliances, switchgear, regulators, heaters, transformers, electrical motors, generators, alternators and electrical, electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic control systems and other related devices • Read and interpret electrical, architectural and mechanical diagrams, drawings or specifications to determine wiring layouts for new or existing installations • Splice, join and connect wire to fixtures and components to form circuits
